Joanne Queeney

VP & Chair of Operations and Planning

Managing VP and Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice lead within Gartner, a global research and advisory firm.

Joanne Queeny has more than 40+ years of healthcare experience providing direct, on-demand IT and business analysis and advice to healthcare and government agencies relating to IT strategies, software systems, risk assessments, vendor assessments, operational processes, and transformation initiatives. She continues to advise executives on business trends, processes, applications, and emerging technologies including; health & wellness, care management, population health, social determinants of care, behavioral health, electronic health records, customer relationship management, value-based care, and clinical data integration.

Joanne would like to take her experience in health & wellness and behavioral health from a corporate/technology perspective and shift to real-life application. The realization that leveraging technology is not the answer to fueling the mind, body, and soul for joyful and healthy living. The main concept behind the mind-body-spirit connection is that we are all more than just our thoughts. We are also our bodies, our emotions, and our spirituality – all these things combine to give us identity, determine our healthcare, and make us who we are. Being part of the WeBreathe WellBeing Soul Sanctuary with a committed board of like-minded individuals will allow for a broader focus and support for all as we journey toward a healthy mind, a healthy body, and a healthy spirit.

Kathleen M. Slack

Kathleen M. Slack

Director

RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Kathleen is an Integrative Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has been a Registered Nurse for 30 years and spent most of her time as a Registered Nurse in the inpatient Oncology department. Throughout those years she had the privilege of caring for medical oncology, bone marrow transplant, and palliative care patients. And, as a side note, she spent a couple of years as a postpartum nurse, caring for new moms and their babies. Throughout that time, she was married, and had four wonderful children.

Approximately 5 years ago she decided to return to school to become a nurse practitioner. She specifically chose to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner, even though none of my experience and background is specifically in psychiatry. Her y choice was deliberate as she had been a firsthand witness to the need for attentive mental health care to be available and provided to patients and their families. I also witnessed that what is available is lacking when it comes to tending to the person as a whole and with consideration of their mind, body, and spirit.

Currently, she is in the process of starting my own practice as an Integrative Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has chosen to start my own practice to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to mental healthcare that encompasses both Eastern and Western medicine.

The opportunity to participate as a board member for WeBreathe Wellbeing: Soul Sanctuary is an honor for Kathy. She is excited to be part of such a wonderful and needed endeavor. The intentions and philosophies of WeBreathe Wellbeing: Soul Sanctuary dovetail perfectly with her own thoughts, aspirations, and intentions for the mental health care of individuals. The creation of this space will provide access and opportunity that would otherwise not exist.
